The
best way I know of to protect your self from Viruses and Spyware is to
Run Linux on your Computer. But, if you use a Windows Machine it's by
using good AntiVirus and Anti Spyware Software, allong with a good
Hardware Router and maybe a Software Router too. Here two free
AntiSpyware programs, these are my favorites. I find that
alone they are ok, but together they work really well. What one misses
the other finds. Here are the links to download them. Bleow are my
favorite Antivirus and Firewall Programs too... Then
if you want to go a step further in keeping people and unwanted
programs out of your computer and from transmitting data about you
online, you need a Firewall. A Hardware Firewall is best and I use a
Software Firewall as well for added protection. No Protection is
perfect and free Forewalls are getting harder to find. But if you use
Windows 98 to WinXP, this one will run well on these Operating Systems
and has auto configuration, allong with the abality to manually
configure and a learning mode. After you teach it what your habbits
are, it runs well and keeps you pretty well protected. |
