Hi I’m Don Bishop, we have two Albums out now. DonSongs 002 and Living Beings – Climate Control. There are several Praise Songs on each Album and you can Download them all Individually and Free on the Album Pages. DonSongs 002 and at Living Beings - Climate Control. Later I plan on putting direct links to the Praise Songs from each Album, when I have time. This page has our Bio, a History of our music and the first few Praise Songs we recorded below with Lyrics and song clips. The full versions are on the Album Pages.

Bio:
Hi I'm Don, I
have a new Album out called Living Beings – Climate Control.
Living Beings are, Don Bishop and Marty Splawn. It has taken
almost a year and a half of Thursdays, but the recording is
finally done. This is kind of a Studio Project - Album. There are
only two of us, so it would be kind of hard for us to play live
right now. But if people like our songs and I can find band
members to play Marty's music, who knows. Marty plays all the
instruments and composed the music for the songs. And I wrote all
the lyrics, except on Is it True Lord and Healer of the Soul,
which were Poems written by Kristina Hensley. Marty played and
recorded the music and recorded my vocals and we mixed and remixed
the songs together, except for a couple of little changes I made
on my computer after I got them home. Marty and I have worked
together since about 1997 on and off. We have done several
different styles of music, from 60's - 70's - 80's - 90's Rock &
Roll, to almost Rockabilly to almost Metal:) Including a couple of
acoustic songs. Our first set of songs are on the DonSongs Album.
Steve Bryan also played and arranged and recorded some of the
songs on DonSongs. You can go to DonSongs.com to find out more
about our music. I have really enjoyed our sessions and hope you
enjoy the songs we came up with too. Marty has been playing music
since he was a teenager and teaches guitar, bass and drum lessons.
I am pretty much a late bloomer. I always wanted to write and
sing, but I didn't think I had the talent and thought I was too
shy to sing in front of people when I was younger. Now I don't
care, I just want to make music!:) I almost had a real band going
back in about 95'. We practiced every week for about 6 months, but
we never played out. Everyone got married and busy, so now there's
just no time for them.. got got, got no time:O. I on the other
hand have allot of time, and would still love to start a "real
band". Right now though, I'm just really glad to have been
able to record these songs and realize some of my dream:) Hope You
like our Songs. I also have a vision to start a ministry for kids
and teens. It will be called Psalms68 Ministries. I plan for
Psalms 68 Ministries to be, an outreach to local youth with
Christian Music Concerts. I worked with Christian Concerts for
about 15 years. And I loved it!:) As it grows I want to have an
emergency shelter. With group homes for abused or unwanted kids. A
sanctuary, a place where hurting kids could come and live and heal

Here is a history of our work…
These are songs that the Lord Jesus has given me. Most of them from, The Psalms. I don't play any instruments, so the tunes are still in my head. I hope to get them on tape, tune and all, some day soon. (This was written in early 97'.) And Praise God! He hooked me up with a very talented guy named Marty Splawn. He plays guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. He also has a recording studio in his home. So as of 9-21-97 he has arranged and recorded four of my songs for me. And were not through yet! Praise you Lord Jesus! You are so kind to me. I hope these songs will bless you. I'm going to put audio bytes of them on this page soon. Well it's 10-13-97' and my first three sound bytes are in.! I plan to make tapes, with me singing and Marty's music on one side, and just the music on the other side. So others can sing them if they wish. Halleluia! It's 7-7-99 and we finally got to get back in the studio. We remixed Teach Me God this week. I will put some MP3 and Real audio files of it on this page as soon as I get to it. We changed the guitar sound and added a few verses. Hope you will like it. Well... it's now 1-22-02 and we still haven't finished our project:<( Marty is just so busy with other projects... We did do a new CD, with Teach Me God on it, last year. So there's an MP3 of the whole song now:>) I'm not giving up! No matter how long it takes! Unless, the Lord comes back before we get done:>) Then I guess I can just sing em to the Lord, in Heaven:>)

I was alone.
My stomach was full of, stress, discouragement and anger.
Disappointment had come again.
My health still failing.
My dreams still ailing.
Once again, another set back.
Patience!
I know.
Persistence.
I know!
But...
Then the Lord came.
And gave me a tune, for His Psalm, 34.
It is amassing what the gift of praise can do.
For us.
Not for Him.
We can only imagine what praise does for the living God!
But what it can do for me.
I can see.
Now if I could only remember.
Every day.

That our God can heal and make me whole.
Through His Praise.
